Povo franco e alegre. Gente simpática e hospitaleira.

The Municipality of Esposende lies in the north of Portugal, in Minho, belonging to Braga. In this district, with 13 counties, is the only one with coastal territory. Limit it to the county north of Viana do Castelo, to the south of Póvoa de Varzim, and the east of Barcelos. The Atlantic Ocean lard him to West in an approximate of 14 Km Its territory extends up through an area of 95.18 km2, representing 3.41% of the total area of Braga. It is crossed by rivers Cávado, plus the South, and Neiva by the North.

Most of the towns of the county, whose population back to pre-historic times, has its origin linked to the use of agricultural fields, fishing and gathering of marine plants. It is recognized that Fão is of Celtic origin and has been a great city and an important port in time of the Roman field. Apulia seems to have Roman origin (its core coast born with the use of sandy land and the fishing), the same as if points as possible for the seat of the county / Esposende.
